Valentine's Day – the touch

What does Valentine’s Day feel like? The soft petals of a rose, the warmth of someone’s touch, goose bumps, the slippery and smooth feeling of silk, the tactile texture of velvet, the heat of a candle, the hard sharpness of a cut diamond and the tickle of a feather.

Find ways to integrate touch into your Valentine’s Day…outside of the obvious. Select high texture foods – foods that are crunchy, creamy, juicy, chewy. The ‘feel’ of a food is integral to the experience of eating it.

Instead of using standard cotton napkins, go with decadent fabrics – like these velvet and linen napkins from vivre, or these Thai silk napkins by Eastern Leaf.

Lastly, wear a fabric that just feels amazing…you’ll feel great and hopefully your mate will think so too 😉
