Yes, yes, I’ll admit that I got sucked into the marketing machine that told me that I had to buy bottled water. I believed that, even though generations before me had survived just fine off of tap water, somehow it had become tainted with horrible strains of bacteria. I believed that I couldn’t live without the ability to bring my water with me everywhere I went. I didn’t even put much thought to the fact that not only was I now paying a lot of money for something I used to get for free, but I was throwing away about 20 empty plastic bottles every week…
…that was until I saw an image on Liene’s blog that made me want to rid the earth of every last plastic bottle. And all the press about toxins being released from the plastic didn’t help either.
All of a sudden I felt all icky about using plastic water bottles. I couldn’t drink from a bottle without feeling ‘garbage guilt’ or a sudden case of ‘plastic poisoning’ coming on. If you can believe it, I’ve actually reverted to drinking…brace yourself…tap water!
But now I feel a genuine sense of reprisal thanks to New York-based branding and design agency Brand Image. They single-handedly conceptualized the 360 Paper Water Bottle…and made it look great, to boot.
Go, go green events!
