black, white and read all over . an inspiration

What is inspiration? My favorite definition is the “arousal of the mind to special unusual activity or creativity”*. I peruse hundreds of blogs every day to arouse my mind and awaken it to new concepts and designs. It’s all of those thoughts and visual images that keep my mind spinning. Much like flipping through the pages of a magazine, I dog ear my favorite posts, I read them over and over and evolve them into my own ideas.

My latest obsession is black and white. And below are a few blogs who have featured inspiring images…

(Clockwise from top left) Dinnerware collection from Neiman Marcus via Toast and Tables; Stuart Weitzman via Jasmine Star; Joe Schmelzer via Desire to Inspire; Flickr pic via All Things Bright & Beautiful; Venucci placemats via Design is Mine; Dwell Tablecloth at Target via Oh Happy Day; Gloss Creative via Desire to Inspire

I absolutely adore the Stuart Weitzman image. I love the idea of taking natural elemants and painting them white (sorry, not very green). And how beautiful is that large format image of Audrey Hepburn on the walls and ceiling of the tent?
