I've been tagged…

Jessica over at Tying The Knot has and The Event Planner of the Carolinas both tagged me to share 7 random and or weird things about myself. So, to the challenge I go! Although I must admit that I can easily come up with a lot more than 7 strange facts about myself (is that good or bad?).

I cry when I watch commercials, reality tv shows, cartoons…just about anything. I’ve tried to figure this thing out. I mean, generally speaking, I’m not a very sappy person – but if I see someone else cry, watch someone accomplish something great or anything in between, I lose it. Heck, I’m half watching A Charlie Brown Christmas while typing this post and my vision’s getting blurry.

I live for chocolate. Okay, okay, this might not be a huge ‘surprise’ for anyone who reads my blog. Every single day I wake up and tell myself ‘today is going to be the day that I don’t have a chocolate bar’, but come 12:20 p.m. (as soon as I’ve finished the last bite of my lunch) I can hear the vending machine calling my name. I’ve tried wearing ear muffs…but that doesn’t work.

I love to laugh. Oh, and I have a really strange sense of humor.

I’m insanely competitive. My brain can’t process the fact that some people may just be better at things than I am. Take our company Christmas party, for example. A happy, jolly night of bowling. Well, let me tell you – all was not jolly in lane # 5. Even though I haven’t picked up a bowling ball in about 10+ years, I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t get a strike every time it was my turn.

I love to throw myself into things that challenge me.

I’m what my friends call a “plunger”. No, not that handy tool you use on a plugged toilet. But someone who jumps into things, gets immersed in them, then jumps out as quickly as they got in. I love to try new things, but I also get bored very quickly. I’m still trying to figure out if that’s good or bad?….

Ooooh last one! I’m also one of those people who LOVE to sing in their car. But I feel really self conscious when I’m belting out a tune – purely out of fear that the person in the car next to me will think I’m crazy. So, I put my cell phone to my ear when I’m singing so that anyone who looks over will think I’m just having a passionate conversation on the phone (it also hides your mouth really well).

So that’s it – not too interesting, but hopefully marginally entertaining.

Now for the ‘passing of the torch’. I’d like to challenge the following people to this self-reflecting and slightly humiliating exercise (be sure to pass it on to another 5 friends):
Lisa @ Blush Events
Enjoy Celebrations and Occasions
Pam @ housemartin
Kim Vallee
